"From handwoven bamboo rattan and cotton leather upholstery to powder-coated stainless steel, the latest designs in seating have adopted all new shapes and contours. With its gentle curves and pale-gray tonality, Philippe Bouix’s Reportage takes cues from a sickle moon. Eric Berthes mined art deco tropes to create Jeremie , a deep daybed dressed in cheery hues. Judy Smilow’s reissuing classic pieces by Smilow-Thielle, a Midcentury furniture manufacturer, under the name Smilow Design. The mod offerings include the 1956 woven-leather armchair, in walnut with black, brown, tan, or red leather strappings. The Italian manufacturer Cassina, celebrates its 50th anniversary with some bold moves setting an environmentally friendly tenor. The LC Collection by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand—a series that includes the iconic LC2 club chair—gets an earth-conscious refresh in the form of organically tanned leathers and a far less toxic chromium-plating process. All products have also been featured in Interior Design's recent Spring Market Tabloid."
